Remembering Joan Rugg
Sometimes sad occasions are also happy ones. We traveled to Norway, MI, for Joan Rugg's memorial service in early July. This is the hometown of Jim and Perianne St. Vincent, too, so it allowed us the opportunity to reconnect with Kate's cousins on both sides of the family, visit old homesites, and tour the local iron mine that fueled the economy from 1870 to 1945.
