Day 1 - The Louvre & Paris at Night

We took an overnight flight from Minneapolis to Paris and arrived at our rented flat in the late morning. Our goal was to start exploring the city and stay up as late as possible to fight off jet lag. What better way to start than a walk to the Louvre. It must have been a great idea, because about 30,000 others decided to join us. You will see that we viewed the Mona Lisa, along with everyone else, and saw many other beautiful works of art. After a quick dinner back at our flat, we walked back to the Notre Dame Cathedral. That was our first opportunity to see Paris live up to its reputation as The City of Lights. |
