Day One - Arrival in Reykjavik

We arrived in Reykjavik on Saturday morning, May 26th. Julia traveled with Kate and me from Minneapolis, and Jen made her way from DC through JFK. Our travel agent arranged for a driver to give us a quick tour of the area before we checked into our hotel.
Once at our hotel, Julia needed a little extra rest while Kate, Jen and I walked through the city. That included a visit to the Museum of Icelandic History. We learned that Icelanders are good with wax statues, even if the story they tell is a little gruesome! Oh, and about the racks of drying fish heads...They are a huge export for Iceland to Nigeria where they are considered a delicacy. No, we did NOT try any.
