Day 3 - The Vatican & City Walk

We walked to St. Peter's Basilica for a private Mass in the Vatican caves, followed by a tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. The Sistine Chapel and the Last Judgement fresco were incredible to see, and it was also one of the few areas where cameras are prohibited. We returned to St. Peter's Basilica for a brief tour and chance to see Michelangelo's Pieta statue. 

​The afternoon and evening were spent on our own. We were with Jeff and Teresa Wertz and we walked the city. We walked A LOT. We wrapped up the day with a great meal at one of Rome's many sidewalk restaurants.
