August & September were fairly quiet at home, while Jim's business travel schedule took him to Japan for the first time. It included the rare opportunity for a quick sight-seeing trip to the town of Kamakura which includes The Great Buddha of Kamakura, located at the Kōtoku-in Temple. The good people at Wikipedia do a much better job of describing it HERE than I could. Otherwise, we took a day trip to Duluth and the Glensheen Mansion Labor Day weekend and the animals assisted Kate in her writing by sleeping nearby or looking out the window. |
