Business in Japan, September, 2017
Normally, my business trips are just business. However, attending the annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Heart Rhythm Society in Yokohama, Japan presented the opportunity for a little sight-seeing.
Most of the photos were taken on a day trip to Kamakura, a small town located about 12 miles SSW of Yokahama. After conquering the local train system, we visited The Great Buddha, a 40-foot tall statue constructed in the 1250s, and Hokokuji Temple/Kamakura Bamboo Garden which is exactly what the name describes. Both sites, as well as the rest of the country, were worth the trip! |
